What is WYRD?
WYRD is a solo strategic tabletop game based on Mordheim (Games Workshop), Elden Ring (FromSoftware), and Slay the Spire (Mega Crit). You take on the role of an adventurer exploring a cursed city full of evil beings and dangerous encounters. As an adventurer, you have been drawn to this place by a call to adventure, pure curiosity as to what lies deep within, and the wyrd stones. These stones are extremely valuable and present magical abilities to those who posses them, making the impossible possible.
Throughout your time in WYRD you will encounter a large collection of enemies, explore a variety of locations, uncover mysteries to the city, and grow in strength. Will you make it to the fabled Wish Granter, or be just another lost soul in the city?

WYRD is Carved by RUNE by Gila RPGs. Inside you will find the core mechanics of RUNE and REAP, modified to allow for more diverse play determined by the player through their choices, equipment, and progress.

Changes From RUNE
While playing WYRD, you will encounter the following changes:
- A modified equipment system providing single action on each equipped item.
- Companions that follow you into the depths of the cursed city.
- A shared dice pool using the total combined Stamina for the party. The player can assign the d6 results to any character, in any combination, allowing a higher tactical experience for gameplay.
- Movement tied to armour for the player characters. Heavier armour means you are moving a lot slower but blocking more damage, while lighter armoured counterparts are moving fast and taking full harm their way.
- A d66 collection of loot found from winning Combat, usable by your player character.
- Spells and Wyrdstones, providing an alternative way to play your way by harnessing powerful tools of destruction, healing, and mobility.
- An advancement system for the player character and their companions, rewarding experience (XP) and permanent bonuses to their stats and abilities.
- Procedural systems for generating combat encounters with a system of Location, Encounter, and Modifier.
- Movement in all directions using a hexagonal grid.
- More enemies across the battlefield -- the bigger your party, the more dangerous combat becomes.
- A collection of bosses to face, waiting for you along the path to your fate.

Hi! I'm about halfway through my first (hopefully) successful campaign of this game and having a really great time. A few things have kind of stood out to me as unclear:
1) There are a few lingering references to 'melee range', like in the description of the Companion -- Does this refer to Range 0 or Range 0-1?
2) Can the Ogre learn to cast spells via the advancement that lets it take another unit's same-value ability? (Replacing the 5-6 slot with 'Spell 3')
3) Do Bosses grant a Reward roll of any kind?
4) Does Ignite stack until an action is spent to clear it?
I'll probably post more questions when I remember I have them -- thanks so much for making this game! I'm a huge fan of how quick and easy it is to move through the procedure of a fight.
1 - Melee range is 0. You are correct, this was a previous rule that I missed in a few spots.
2 - Yes, no limitations on that!
3 - Bosses grant you R3. I see now that I missed that information when talking about bosses. You also gain XP (page 28).
4 - Ignite does stack! It is one of the more powerful effects. Spending 1 Action removes all Ignite.

Hi, I'm confused about how to use Wyrd Stones and hope you could help me out :)
So, I need two dice and they need to have combined value of 7. Why do the Wyrd Stone Table show a dice with a 5 on every Wyrd Stone? Does that mean that every Wyrd Stone requires a die with a value of 5 too?
It might be hard to see but those are actually "7s," with 7 little pips on each die.
Otherwise, you are correct. Any combination to make a 7 is valid.

Is there a way to play this multiplayer? Would love to play this co-op!
Absolutely. You could have one player control the party and the other the player character. I'd say that experimenting with 2 player characters would also work, using the same difficulty modifiers as you would for companions.
I just recently found the time and finally bought it thank you! I am wondering if there would there be rules for scaling bosses up to 3 players?
Scaling for enemies is already listed on page 24 (just add +1 Health for each player past the first).
For handling bosses, increase the Health of the boss by +5 for each player above the first, i.e., 2 players = +5, 3 players = +10. This is a distilled version of how Souls' games adjust difficulty with summons and would honestly work here, for the most part.
